Broomvale Bridal Barns has over 30 years of history, it began in 1993 when
Sharon Higgs had the inspiration to start Just a day Bridalwear with the financial help of her father the story begins at 16 The Street, Little Clacton on 1st April. Shortly after she met seamstress, Laarni Byrne who became a long term friend and they produced made to measure gowns that were perfect on the first fitting.
After just a few years Just a day outgrew its premises and needed to expand to a larger space. The opportunity presented itself when an empty premises was standing across the road from a motorbike shop, where Sharon set out to buy a service kit for her bike.
Within no time at all a new shop was opened at 8 Norwich Road, Ipswich on 31st October (halloween) and Just a day went on to win Bridal Retailer of the Year 2003.
In 2011 an opportunity arouse to move to a modern conversion of a public house on Road Road – the home of Just a day until June 3rd 2023.
With a love of unusual & designer gowns Sharon decided to look for a location for a very unique little boutique to work along side Just a day, a premises was found in St Peters Street, Ipswich and Brides of St Peters was opened on 13th April 2020. A stunning boutique with an outside viewing area and all 5 star reviews but with a close family illness, Sharon was taken away from the business and the decision was made to locate the 2 bridal boutiques and the prom boutique into one location.
The search began and Broomvale Bridal Barn was born with over 30 years of experience.
